Cleaner Repair

Pool cleaner repair, pressure or suction cleaner by Southlake Pools.

With pool cleaner repair, the type of cleaner needs to be determined. Below are the two main types of pool cleaners for a pool:

Suction-Side Automatic Pool Cleaners –

A hose extends from  the pool cleaner to your skimmer. Suction is generated by the pump transforming the pool cleaner into an underwater vacuum! Each unit is specially  designed to move around the pool in a specified preprogrammed pattern, cleaning the entire pool and depositing debris into the skimmer basket or leaf catcher.

Advantages of Suction-Side Pool  Cleaners:

  • Simple to install and operate
  • Low cost and proven track record

Pressure-Side Automatic Pool Cleaners

With a pressure side cleaner,  the hose is attached to the return of your pool (where water enters back into the pool after passing through the filter). The force of water is used to both move the cleaner around and create a vacuum sucking up dirt and  debris into a bag that is attached to the cleaner.

Advantages of Pressure-Side Pool Cleaners:

  • Distributes filtered water around the entire pool
  • Won’t clog skimmer with debris

Common repairs for cleaners are:

  • New leaf bag
  • Tires
  • Wheel bearings
  • Hose Swivels
  • Replacement wheels
  • Back-up valve
  • Hose sections
